About The Role

Senior Apprenticeship Tutor\- Data and AI
Location: Home Based

Your Role:
As a Senior Technical Learning Specialist (Data) with QA, you will deliver engaging apprenticeship programmes across the Data pathway, from foundational data skills through to advanced analytics and data engineering. Working alongside subject matter experts and curriculum teams, you will create practical, industry\-relevant learning experiences that develop learners' technical capabilities and prepare them for success in data\-focused roles. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a passion for teaching, coaching and inspiring others

Key Responsibilities:
Teach key topics including:

  • Data literacy, analysis and data\-driven decision making.

  • Data quality, governance and ethical data practices.

  • SQL, databases and data modelling.

  • Statistics, exploratory data analysis and insight generation.

  • Data visualisation, storytelling and business intelligence using tools such as Power BI and Tableau.

  • Python for data analysis and engineering.

  • ETL processes, data integration and data warehousing.

  • Data engineering fundamentals and cloud technologies, particularly Azure
You will also:
  • Deliver engaging, practical learning experiences across QA's Data apprenticeship programmes.

  • Use real\-world examples to demonstrate the business impact of data.

  • Coach, mentor and support learners to achieve successful outcomes.

  • Provide specialist technical expertise and contribute to the continuous improvement of learning content and delivery.

  • Champion quality, innovation and learner engagement across all activities.

  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, technologies and apprenticeship standards
Your Experience:
  • Master’s, PhD or equivalent professional experience in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or a related discipline

  • Experience and Industry experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Strong knowledge of SQL, databases and data management principles.

  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau or similar visualisation tools.

  • Familiarity and experience with Python and modern data technologies.

  • Knowledge of cloud\-based data platforms, preferably Azure.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to engage, motivate and inspire learners from a variety of backgrounds.

  • Passion for lifelong learning and professional development

  • Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
Desirable:
  • Experience delivering training, apprenticeships, coaching, mentoring or technical education.

  • Experience using AI, automation or engineering.

  • Experience with ETL tools, data warehousing and modern data platforms.

  • Experience of apprenticeship or work\-based learning delivery
