The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team and work with a diverse portfolio of SME clients. You will be a trusted point of contact, building real relationships and helping clients make sense of their numbers. It is a varied, hands\-on role with genuine scope to develop as the firm grows.
What you will do
- Prepare year end statutory accounts for review
- Prepare personal tax computations and working papers for review
- Prepare \& review VAT returns
- Provide clear, proactive client communication and engagement
- Provide Xero support and training to clients
- Assist with bookkeeping where required
- Support general practice administration as needed
- AAT, ACCA or ICAEW qualified or in training
- At least one years' experience preparing year end accounts in practice
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organisation, and the ability to manage your own workload
- Confident with cloud accounting software, ideally Xero, comfortable adopting new technology, and open to integrating AI tools into your workflow
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Shifnal office. You should be able to commute reliably or plan to relocate before starting.
