The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils both in and out of the classroom
- Assist with the delivery of personalised learning programmes
- Encourage communication, social development and independence
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and specialist staff
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs
- Build positive relationships that enable pupils to feel safe, valued and successful
- Promote engagement, confidence and achievement across all areas of learning
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable
- A calm, patient and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils
- A genuine passion for inclusive education
- A commitment to supporting young people to reach their full potential
