The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils both in and out of the classroom


• Assist with the delivery of personalised learning programmes


• Encourage communication, social development and independence


• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and specialist staff


• Support pupils with a range of additional needs


• Build positive relationships that enable pupils to feel safe, valued and successful


• Promote engagement, confidence and achievement across all areas of learning

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable


• A calm, patient and nurturing approach


• Strong communication and teamwork skills


• The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils
