We are currently recruiting for a Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Abbey Wood on a full-time basis.
This role involves working with pupils who display challenging behaviour, helping them engage with learning, regulate emotions, and achieve positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.
The Role:
- Supporting students with behavioural and emotional needs
- Managing challenging behaviour using positive strategies
- Building strong relationships with pupils and staff
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities
- Acting as a positive role model for young people
- Previous experience working with children or young people
- Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, Support Worker, Sports Coach, or similar background
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Resilient, patient, and confident personality
- Experience within schools, alternative provisions, or youth settings desirable
