SEN / Early Years Teaching Assistant

Location: Rochester

Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Contract: Short-Term Assignment

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN / Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Rochester on a full-time, short-term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who has a passion for supporting young children and helping pupils with Special Educational Needs thrive within the classroom.

Essential Requirements:

• SEN and/or Early Years qualification (essential)


• Previous experience supporting children with SEN and/or within an Early Years setting


• Strong communication and teamwork skills


• Patient, nurturing, and proactive approach


• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (essential)


• Ability to commit to full-time hours, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils with a range of SEN needs on a 1:1 and small group basis


• Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities


• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning


• Supporting children's social, emotional, and educational development


• Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
