I am currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant in Greenwich to join a welcoming primary school and provide dedicated support to pupils with additional needs.

About the School The school is a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Greenwich, committed to creating a positive environment where every pupil can succeed.

They are looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant in Greenwich who can work effectively alongside teachers and the wider SEN team to support pupils both academically and personally.

The Role As a SEN Teaching Assistant in Greenwich, you will provide targeted support to pupils with a range of additional needs.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support

  • Supporting pupils with SEND

  • Helping pupils access the curriculum

  • Providing emotional and behavioural support

  • Supporting communication and social development

  • Assisting with classroom activities

  • Supporting individual learning and development plans

  • Personal care where required

Role Details Location: Greenwich
Start: September 2026
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Ideal Candidate The successful SEN Teaching Assistant in Greenwich will ideally have:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN

  • Experience within a primary school or educational setting

  • A calm, patient and nurturing approach

  • Strong communication skills

  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils

  • A proactive attitude towards supporting learning

  • A genuine commitment to inclusive education

Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH or complex needs would be highly advantageous.
