About the Opportunity
Are you passionate about helping someone grow, communicate, and live more independently? Join a well\-established, successful home\-based education program in Pudsey (Leeds), and support an inspiring 18\-year\-old autistic young man with learning disabilities.
No experience? No problem. We’ll provide professional, hands\-on training in leading therapeutic techniques — including ABA, Speech \& Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Sensory Integration, Verbal Behaviour, and more.
Role Snapshot
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant / ABA Therapist
- Type: Part\-time, Self\-employed
- Pay: £17\.00 – £20\.00 per hour
- Location: Pudsey, Leeds (free on\-site parking)
- Support a young adult with autism in daily routines and communication.
- Participate in both indoor learning sessions and outdoor activities like swimming, biking, trampolining, gym and rock climbing.
- Help implement structured therapy programs, with the support of a skilled multi\-disciplinary team.
- Track progress and adjust strategies with regular expert\-led training.
- Be a companion, mentor, and therapeutic guide to a kind, motivated young person.
- Be part of a family\-led, structured program running for 13\+ years with proven success.

Essential:
- Kind, patient, and genuinely motivated to support individuals with autism
- Excellent focus and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Positive, team\-oriented mindset
- Must be able to reliably commute to Pudsey
- Experience working with autism, ABA, VB, or SEN children/young adults
- Experience with Intensive Interaction, Speech Therapy, or Occupational Therapy
- 1 year\+ of care, TA, or support experience
- Driving license and access to a car
