Self-Employed Advanced MSK Physiotherapist | Diagnostic Ultrasound & Shockwave
Self\-employed \| 1 day per week initially \| Opportunity to increase to 2 days
The Health Lounge is an established multidisciplinary healthcare clinic in the centre of Cranleigh, Surrey. We currently offer chiropractic care and sports therapy and are looking to expand our musculoskeletal services by introducing physiotherapy, shockwave therapy and diagnostic MSK ultrasound.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated MSK Physiotherapist to join us on a self\-employed associate basis and help develop this new service within the clinic.
The position would initially be for approximately one day per week, with the opportunity to increase to two days per week as the caseload develops.
We already have an established patient base and anticipate a combination of internal referrals from our existing chiropractic and sports therapy services alongside new patients seeking physiotherapy, ultrasound assessment and shockwave treatment.
The Role
You will work autonomously, assessing and managing a varied private MSK caseload including spinal, peripheral joint, tendon and sports\-related presentations.
Depending on your qualifications and experience, the service will include:
- MSK physiotherapy assessment and treatment
- Exercise rehabilitation and rehabilitation planning
- Diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound
- Shockwave therapy
- Tendinopathy management
- Sports injury assessment and rehabilitation
- Collaborative care and internal referrals within the clinic
About You
Essential:
- HCPC registered Physiotherapist
- Appropriate professional indemnity insurance
- Strong interest and experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy
- Comfortable working autonomously in private practice
- Excellent communication and clinical reasoning skills
- Evidence\-based and patient\-centred approach to care
- Postgraduate qualification/training in diagnostic MSK ultrasound
- Experience performing diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound
- Shockwave therapy training or experience
- Previous private practice experience
- Sports injury and rehabilitation experience
Shockwave experience would be advantageous, although additional training can be considered for the right MSK clinician.
What We Provide
The Health Lounge will provide:
- Fully equipped private treatment room
- Treatment couch
- Reception and administrative support
- Online booking and practice management systems
- Card/payment facilities
- Existing multidisciplinary patient base
- Internal referral opportunities
- Clinic marketing and promotion of the new service
- Shockwave equipment
- Diagnostic ultrasound equipment
- Exercise/rehabilitation equipment as required
- Central Cranleigh location
Working Pattern
The role will initially be approximately one full clinic day per week.
We are flexible regarding the day and exact clinic times for the right candidate. Some later afternoon/evening availability would be particularly useful for our private patient population.
There is significant opportunity to increase to two days per week as demand and the caseload develop.
We would like this to become an established long\-term physiotherapy and MSK service within The Health Lounge rather than simply providing occasional room hire.
Remuneration
This is a self\-employed associate position.
Remuneration will be based on a percentage of collected treatment fees, reflecting the fact that the clinic provides the premises, administration, marketing, patient infrastructure and specialist equipment.
The fee structure will include separate pricing for physiotherapy, diagnostic ultrasound assessment and shockwave therapy.
The arrangement can be discussed further depending on the clinician's experience, qualifications, existing caseload and whether they provide any of their own specialist equipment.
