Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding promptly to incidents. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential.

Duties

• Monitor surveillance cameras (CCTV) to oversee activity across the site and identify any suspicious behaviour or security breaches.


• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorised access.


• Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and reporting potential risks or theft attempts.


• Respond swiftly to alarms or emergencies, including providing first aid if necessary.


• Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with management and emergency services when required.


• Enforce site policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.


• Assist visitors and staff by providing directions or information as needed.

• Prior experience in security, surveillance, or loss prevention is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.


• Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is advantageous.


• Certification or training in first aid is desirable, with opportunities for further professional development available.


• Strong observational skills combined with excellent communication abilities are vital for success in this role. This position is integral to maintaining a safe environment for all personnel and visitors, requiring a dedicated individual committed to vigilance and professionalism at all times.

Pay: From £12\.71 per hour
