Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master/Project Manager to lead and facilitate software development projects within our organisation. The successful candidate will oversee project delivery, coordinate cross\-functional teams, and ensure adherence to best practices such as Agile (SAFe, Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. The ideal applicant will possess a comprehensive understanding of SDLC, project management tools, and cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure. This is a paid position suitable for professionals committed to delivering high\-quality solutions on time and within scope.

Duties

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand\-ups, retrospectives, and reviews in accordance with SAFe principles.

  • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables using project management software such as Microsoft Project, TFS, Jira, and SharePoint.

  • Coordinate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders and translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Oversee the entire SDLC process from requirements analysis through deployment, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and test\-driven development (TDD).

  • Monitor project progress using organisational tools like Visio and Microsoft Excel; track key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Lead release management activities ensuring smooth deployment cycles while managing risk through disaster recovery planning.

  • Collaborate with software development teams on programme management tasks including analysis skills, test case creation, and release scheduling.

  • Negotiate scope changes with stakeholders while maintaining project objectives; communicate effectively across technical and non\-technical teams.

  • Ensure compliance with organisational standards for documentation, reporting, and quality assurance.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Project Manager in software development environments.

  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks such as SAFe and Kanban; familiarity with Waterfall methodologies.

  • Proficiency in project management tools including Microsoft Project, Jira, TFS, SharePoint, Visio, and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).

  • Solid understanding of SDLC processes alongside experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Microsoft Azure.

  • Experience with SQL databases (Oracle), requirement analysis, user acceptance testing (UAT), test cases creation, and test\-driven development (TDD).

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Strong leadership qualities coupled with effective communication skills; capable of motivating teams and negotiating scope or resource adjustments.

  • Analytical mindset with problem\-solving capabilities; adept at programme management and disaster recovery planning. Pay: £35,875\.00\-£76,874\.00 per year
