Your role and responsibilities

In this field\-based sales role, you help customers become more reliable, smarter, and more efficient in their processes—topics that are higher on the agenda than ever before. You support clients in operating as efficiently as possible.

As a Sales Specialist, you engage with existing customers in industry and data centers to understand their situation. You identify opportunities for optimization and advise on the application of ABB’s portfolio and energy\-efficient solutions.

You operate in a market where demand already exists. The challenge lies in asking the right questions, recognizing opportunities, and translating customer needs into concrete solutions from the ABB portfolio. Instead of focusing on product sales, you adopt a service\-oriented approach through projects and consultative discussions. You help customers gain insights into their processes and energy usage, demonstrating how ABB can support them in reducing consumption, costs, and impact.

Take on the challenge:

  • Drive growth by identifying and developing opportunities related to Energy Efficiency across various markets.

  • Build trust by acting as an advisor and guiding customers through complex challenges related to reliability, energy consumption, sustainability, and scalability.

  • Identify opportunities by actively probing and translating customer needs into concrete project solutions.

  • Turn insights into action by collaborating with internal specialists and project teams to successfully deliver customer solutions.
Your profile

We are looking for an experienced and curious sales professional who feels at home in a consultative, project\-driven environment.

You also bring:

  • Bachelor’s level (HBO) working and thinking level.

  • At least 5 years of experience in a commercial role, preferably in a technical environment.

  • Experience in building and expanding customer relationships across different levels.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to ask the right questions.

  • A commercial and results\-driven mindset.

  • A curious, entrepreneurial, and solution\-oriented attitude.

  • Affinity with sustainability and energy efficiency, and the drive to advise customers in this area.

  • Technical affinity.

  • Good command of Dutch and English.
