Sales & Office Administration Manager
About the role
DBC Group is looking for an experienced, organised and commercially minded person to take responsibility for sales and customer relationships, alongside the smooth running of our office administration.
Sales is the primary focus, supported by accurate order processing, effective use of business systems, consistent office procedures and credit control.
This is a hands\-on role. You’ll deal directly with business customers, develop sales opportunities, follow quotations through to orders and coordinate with colleagues to ensure customers receive a reliable service.
We welcome applications from people seeking full\-time or part\-time work. Agreed daytime hours, including a later start or earlier finish, can be considered subject to business requirements. The role may also suit someone returning to work after a career break who brings relevant experience.
Your responsibilities
Sales and customer relationships
- Take ownership of a defined portfolio of existing business customers
- Build relationships through regular telephone and email contact
- Handle enquiries, understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products
- Prepare quotations and follow them through to an order
- Contact dormant customers and identify opportunities to develop business
- Identify relevant opportunities to upsell and cross\-sell
- Work towards agreed sales and account\-development objectives
- Coordinate day\-to\-day sales office activities and outstanding actions
- Process orders accurately, checking prices, customer details and delivery requirements
- Keep customers informed about orders and deliveries
- Work closely with sales, accounts and warehouse colleagues
- Resolve routine customer queries and escalate issues when necessary
- Maintain clear records and reliable follow\-up
- Use CRM, ERP and order\-processing systems confidently
- Keep customer information, quotations and sales opportunities accurate and current
- Help ensure agreed office procedures are followed consistently
- Identify errors or gaps and recommend practical improvements
- Support colleagues in maintaining accurate records and using systems correctly
- Follow up overdue customer payments professionally by telephone and email
- Record payment commitments and follow up agreed dates
- Work with accounts colleagues to resolve invoice queries
- Follow established procedures for credit terms, account holds and escalation
We are looking for someone with:
- At least three years’ relevant experience in B2B sales and office administration
- Experience preparing quotations, following up sales opportunities and processing customer orders
- A track record of building and maintaining business customer relationships
- Practical experience using CRM, ERP or comparable business systems
- Experience following and improving office procedures
- Previous credit\-control experience, including contacting customers about overdue payments
- Confident telephone skills and clear spoken and written English for customer calls and correspondence
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and dependable follow\-through
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, email and digital business tools
Pay: €40,000\.00\-€42,000\.00 per year
