This is not a front desk job. This is a sales\-first, commercially minded role for someone who wants to own the numbers and drive real growth. You will be the engine behind our membership sales and retention — responsible for generating leads, converting enquiries, building corporate partnerships, and making sure every new member stays with us.
What You'll Own
Sales \& Membership Growth
- Drive new membership sign\-ups, this is your primary KPI
- Manage the full sales funnel: leads, show\-arounds, follow\-ups, conversions
- Follow up every enquiry, minimum 3 touchpoints per lead
- Run outbound campaigns (corporate, local businesses, referral schemes)
- Hit and exceed monthly join targets
- Own the first 30\-day member onboarding journey
- Identify at\-risk members before they cancel and intervene
- Drive referral schemes and member engagement programmes
- Track and improve retention rates month on month
- Build and manage corporate membership partnerships across Harrogate
- Develop relationships with local employers, schools and health workers
- Identify secondary revenue opportunities (small group training, bolt\-ons)
- Support pricing and promotional activity in line with growth targets
- Daily tracking of leads, conversions, net member numbers and yield
- Weekly reporting to management on sales performance vs target
- Use data to identify what's working and where to focus effort
- Per new member signed above monthly target — tiered bonus per head
- Monthly retention bonus, paid when retention hits threshold
- Quarterly target bonus, when rolling 3\-month target is achieved
- Annual performance bonus, tied to year\-end membership and revenue targets
