Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results\-driven Sales manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, and driving sales growth by selling cars. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and a proactive approach to achieving targets.
Duties
- Liaise with senior management to determine vehicle stock range, contribute to sales strategy development and set monthly and annual sales targets.
- Discuss customer requirements, analyse feedback on vehicle pricing and stock selection, and conduct market research to maintain competitiveness in the used car sector.
- Compile and analyse dealership sales figures, prepare marketing campaign proposals and undertake market research to support commercial decision\-making.
- Manage customer accounts throughout the full sales cycle, from initial enquiry to post\-sale follow\-up, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
- Recruit, induct and train junior sales staff, providing ongoing coaching and performance management.
- Produce reports and recommendations on sales performance, stock levels and marketing strategies for senior management.
- Keep up to date with used car market developments, including competitor activity, vehicle valuations, consumer trends and relevant legislation.
- Proven experience in B2B sales or a similar sales environment is preferred
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals successfully
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in IT tools such as MS Office suite, and other relevant applications
- Valid driving licence is a must for taking clients on test drive
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks efficiently
- Experience in customer service roles is advantageous but not essential; a proactive attitude is key
Pay: £56,000\.00 per year
