Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and results\-oriented Sales Manager to lead our retail sales team and drive sales performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing and motivating staff, delivering excellent customer service, and developing strategies to increase revenue and customer loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and motivate the retail sales team to achieve sales targets.

  • Set daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets for the team.

  • Monitor sales performance and take action to improve results.

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and profitability.

  • Ensure customers receive excellent service and have a positive shopping experience.

  • Train and coach sales staff on product knowledge, selling techniques, and customer service.

  • Monitor staff performance, attendance, and productivity.

  • Assist customers with product selection and resolve customer complaints professionally.

  • Monitor customer needs, preferences, and buying behaviour.

  • Work closely with the Purchase and Marketing Managers to ensure products and promotions support sales objectives.

  • Ensure products are properly displayed and promoted within the store.

  • Monitor competitor pricing, products, promotions, and market trends.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for management.

  • Analyse sales data and identify opportunities for growth.

  • Support promotional campaigns and special offers.

  • Ensure company sales policies, procedures, and standards are followed.

  • Help control stock losses, damages, and other factors that may affect profitability.

  • Maintain a professional, positive, and customer\-focused retail environment.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in sales management, preferably in a retail environment.

  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.

  • Strong leadership and team\-management skills.

  • Excellent communication and customer\-service skills.

  • Strong negotiation and problem\-solving abilities.

  • Good understanding of retail sales techniques and customer behaviour.

  • Ability to analyse sales figures and prepare reports.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel or similar software.

  • Ability to work in a fast\-paced retail environment.

  • Flexible and willing to work weekends and busy trading periods when required.
