Sales Executive (Part-Time, Fully Remote)
Sales Executive (Part\-Time, Fully Remote)
12 hours per week \| Tuesday–Thursday \| £16–£20 per hour \+ commission
Fully remote \| Applicants should live within approximately one hour of Gloucester or Monmouth
Tiger Computing is looking for a part\-time Sales Executive to help us start more conversations with the right companies and generate new business opportunities.
Your focus will be straightforward: identify suitable organisations, speak to the right people and book qualified meetings for our Business Development Manager.
We're looking for someone who is confident on the phone, organised, reliable and comfortable taking responsibility for their own outreach activity.
This isn't a high\-volume call\-centre role. We care much more about having good conversations with the right companies than making hundreds of untargeted calls.
About Us
Tiger Computing has specialised exclusively in Linux since 2002\.
We design, build, manage and support Linux infrastructure for organisations across the UK, including businesses operating in sectors such as bioscience, technology and engineering.
We're a small, experienced team that takes pride in doing things properly. Our clients rely on us to provide specialist expertise and a high level of service, and many have worked with us for years.
We already have a strong customer base and are now looking to expand further, particularly by developing relationships with larger organisations operating 20\+ systems.
This is an opportunity to play a visible role in a small company where your work will have a direct and measurable impact.
The Role
Your job is to identify relevant companies, reach out to decision\-makers and book qualified meetings for our Business Development Manager.
This is not a closing role. Your focus is on starting conversations, generating interest and creating qualified opportunities. Once you've generated a genuine opportunity and arranged a meeting, our Business Development Manager and technical team will take the sales process forward.
You don't need a technical background or previous experience with Linux. We'll give you the training, context and ongoing support you need.
You do, however, need to be comfortable proactively picking up the phone and starting conversations with people you've never spoken to before.
Telephone outreach is an important part of the role, alongside email and LinkedIn.
What You'll Be Doing
- Researching companies that could benefit from our services
- Identifying relevant decision\-makers within those organisations
- Making outbound calls and starting conversations with prospective customers
- Reaching out through email and LinkedIn
- Following an agreed outreach process
- Following up consistently with prospects
- Starting conversations and gauging genuine interest
- Qualifying potential opportunities
- Booking qualified meetings for our Business Development Manager
- Keeping our CRM (Pipedrive) accurate and up to date with notes and activity
- Building and managing your own outreach pipeline consistently each week
Our initial target is one qualified meeting booked per week.
You'll typically be working with around 15 new companies each week, identifying and reaching relevant contacts within those organisations and using a combination of telephone, email and LinkedIn outreach.
We're not interested in activity for activity's sake. We'd rather you have meaningful conversations with carefully selected organisations than spend your day making hundreds of untargeted calls.
Success in this role is about consistency, quality and professionalism: building your pipeline, following up when you say you will, maintaining accurate records and creating genuine sales opportunities.
What We're Looking For
You don't need years of sales experience, and you don't need a technical background.
We're primarily looking for someone who:
- Is confident and personable on the phone
- Is comfortable making outbound calls to new prospects
- Communicates clearly, naturally and professionally
- Is organised and has good attention to detail
- Is reliable and able to work consistently across the agreed working days
- Is proactive and comfortable managing their own workload
- Is self\-motivated and comfortable working remotely
- Is resilient and comfortable hearing "no" without losing motivation
- Is comfortable following a defined sales process
- Takes responsibility for keeping their CRM and pipeline organised
- Follows through on tasks and commitments
Hours
This is a 12\-hour\-per\-week role, working:
Tuesday–Thursday, 10am–2:30pm, with a 30\-minute unpaid break each day.
These will be your regular working hours, so you'll need to be consistently available during these times.
Location \& Remote Working
The role itself is fully remote, and your normal working days will be carried out from home.
We're looking for someone who lives within approximately one hour's travel of Gloucester or Monmouth.
This is because some initial training may take place in person before you begin working independently. We may also occasionally arrange an in\-person team meeting, catch\-up or lunch.
These occasions will be infrequent, and regular meetings and catch\-ups will normally take place by phone or video call.
Pay \& Commission
You'll receive £16–£20 per hour, depending on experience.
You'll also earn:
- £100 commission for each qualified meeting booked
- An additional £100 commission when one of your leads becomes a Tiger Computing customer
What You'll Get
- £16–£20 per hour
- £100 commission per qualified meeting booked
- £100 additional commission when your lead becomes a customer
- 12 hours per week across Tuesday–Thursday
- Fully remote working
- Structured onboarding and training
- Clear expectations and targets
- Ongoing support from our Business Development Manager
- A straightforward role with clear responsibilities
- The opportunity to make a visible contribution within a small, established business
The role is subject to a six\-month probationary period.
This gives you time to learn about Tiger Computing, become comfortable with our services and target customers, build your outreach pipeline and develop relationships with prospective customers.
As our sales cycle can take several months, performance will be reviewed with appropriate consideration for onboarding, ramp\-up time and pipeline development.
