Working closely with the wider commercial team, you will play an important role in generating new business, managing client relationships, and supporting the delivery of the company's sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
While in this position your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities across a range of sectors and industries.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.

  • Managing the full sales cycle from lead generation through to negotiation and closing opportunities.

  • Developing and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline through proactive business development activity.

  • Following up on enquiries, arranging client meetings, and delivering engaging sales presentations.

  • Producing accurate sales forecasts and maintaining CRM records.

  • Working collaboratively with marketing and operational teams to maximise sales opportunities.

  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify potential opportunities.

  • Representing the business at networking events, exhibitions, and client meetings.

  • Delivering a consultative sales approach, understanding customer requirements and recommending suitable solutions.

  • Negotiating commercial agreements while ensuring profitable and sustainable business growth.

  • Consistently working towards and exceeding individual sales targets and KPIs.

What You Will Need to Apply:
The successful candidate will have previous experience within a Sales Executive, Business Development Executive, Account Executive, Business Development Representative, Internal Sales, External Sales, or similar commercial role. In addition, the ideal candidate will demonstrate:
  • A proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.

  • Experience in B2B business development and consultative sales.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify new business opportunities.

  • Confidence in engaging with decision-makers and building lasting client relationships.

  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

  • Experience using CRM systems to manage sales activity and pipeline progression.

  • A proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven approach.

  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

  • Previous experience within professional services, consultancy, or solution-based sales would be advantageous but is not essential.
