Sales Executive/Account Manager

The Role:
We are looking for a motivated and results\-driven Salesperson to join our team.
This varied position sits within the Internal Sales team and offers the opportunity to develop within a busy and supportive office environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting day\-to\-day sales operations, assisting customers, and ensuring the smooth processing of orders and enquiries. As the role develops, there may be opportunities to accompany and eventually visit customers independently, helping to build relationships and gain a broader understanding of the business and its products.
Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
This role involves building strong relationships with new and existing customers, driving sales, and representing our brand with professionalism and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customer base
- Identify new business opportunities and generate leads
- Answer incoming telephone calls and assist with customer enquiries
- Process sales orders accurately
- Prepare and issue customer quotations
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Provide product advice and technical support to customers
- Promote and sell our range of fixings and sealants
- Provide product advice and technical support
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to team success
- Support the wider team with additional tasks as requested by management
- Previous sales experience and customer services (construction supplies or similar industry would be beneficial)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Good general IT skills with the ability to learn new systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner
- Ability to multi\-task and work efficiently in a fast\-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers at all levels
- Self\-motivated with a proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational and time\-management skills
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
