Serene Stone is a growing UK manufacturer of bespoke architectural cast stone products, supplying customers across the construction industry with high\-quality products for residential, commercial and heritage projects.
We are looking for an experienced Sales Estimator / Project Manager to join our team in Pinxton.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in construction estimating, sales, project management or architectural products who enjoys working in a varied role where technical knowledge, commercial awareness and customer relationships are equally important.
You will be responsible for taking projects from initial enquiry and quotation through to order, production and delivery, working closely with customers, architects, contractors, our production team and suppliers.
The Role
You will play a key role in helping Serene Stone deliver an excellent customer experience while ensuring projects are commercially viable, accurately estimated and effectively managed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing customer enquiries, drawings, specifications and project information
- Preparing accurate quotations for bespoke cast stone products
- Carrying out material and quantity take\-offs from architectural and construction drawings
- Understanding construction details and identifying potential technical or commercial issues
- Calculating material, labour, production, packaging and delivery costs
- Preparing clear quotation notes, assumptions, exclusions and clarifications
- Liaising directly with customers, architects, contractors and other project stakeholders
- Following up quotations and supporting the sales process through to order
- Managing projects from order through to manufacture and delivery
- Coordinating with the production team to ensure projects are delivered accurately and on time
- Preparing and reviewing drawings for customer approval where required
- Dealing with technical queries and resolving issues throughout the project
- Supporting customers with product and application advice
- Maintaining accurate project and pricing information
- Identifying opportunities to develop customer relationships and generate further business
We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, technically capable and confident dealing with customers.
You will ideally have:
- Experience in estimating, sales, project management or a similar role within the construction industry
- The ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience preparing quotations and carrying out take\-offs
- Good understanding of construction methods and terminology
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- A commercial understanding of pricing, costs and margins
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently
- Experience with CAD or technical drawing software would highly advantageous
