Due to continued growth, we are seeking a highly motivated and customer\-focused Sales Engineer to support our expanding customer base across London and the South East.
Role Overview
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing existing customer relationships, carrying out product servicing and maintenance, and delivering training on our range of emergency equipment.
This is a hands\-on field\-based role that combines technical expertise with commercial sales responsibility. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring they receive the highest levels of service, support, and training.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales \& Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across all Emergency Group product categories.
- Generate sales through direct customer engagement, demonstrations, and presentations.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts.
- Build relationships with healthcare providers, facilities managers, health and safety professionals, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, emergency planners, and procurement teams.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of opportunities and customer activities within the CRM system.
- Attend exhibitions, conferences, and industry events.
- Carry out servicing, inspections, and maintenance of evacuation chairs, stair climbers, evacuation equipment, and defibrillators.
- Complete service reports and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
- Diagnose equipment faults and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements.
- Ensure all servicing activities meet relevant industry standards and manufacturer requirements.
- Manage van stock and service equipment effectively.
- Deliver operator and trainer\-level courses on evacuation equipment and defibrillators.
- Conduct customer demonstrations and practical training sessions.
- Support customers with implementation and best practice guidance.
- Maintain professional training records and certification documentation.
- Represent Emergency Group as a knowledgeable and professional trainer.
- Provide exceptional customer support before, during, and after sales.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries.
- Build long\-term relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
- Act as the primary local point of contact for customers within the region.
- Proven experience in field sales, technical sales, engineering, servicing, or a similar customer\-facing role.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Strong organisational and problem\-solving abilities.
- Experience servicing medical devices, evacuation equipment, mobility products, or healthcare equipment.
- Experience delivering training courses.
- Knowledge of health and safety, fire safety, healthcare, or emergency preparedness sectors.
- First Aid qualification.
- Training qualification or willingness to obtain one.
- Professional and confident communicator.

- Customer\-focused with excellent interpersonal skills.

Full\-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work to support customer training, exhibitions, and business requirements.

Pay: £35,000\.00\-£45,000\.00 per year
