Sales Consultant - Waste and Recycling
Velo Recycling is a new and ambitious waste management company operating from two sites in Leeds. We currently provide Skip and RoRo services and are now launching and expanding our Commercial Trade Waste division.

About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and results\-driven Sales Consultant to generate new business opportunities and secure new customers across Leeds and the surrounding areas.
This is primarily a field\-based role focused on identifying and winning new Commercial Trade Waste contracts through door\-to\-door activity, cold calling, networking and other lead generation methods.
You will be responsible for managing your own pipeline of opportunities and building long\-term customer relationships.
Whilst the role is predominantly field\-based, occasional time within the office may be required for team sales meetings.
Working hours are typically Monday to Friday (9am\-5pm); however flexibility and a proactive approach are important as part of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities through door\-to\-door activity, cold calling and lead generation
- Secure new Commercial Trade Waste contracts across multiple sectors
- Develop and manage your own sales pipeline
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Carry out customer visits and identify opportunities for waste and recycling services
- Prepare quotations and proposals
- Act as a key point of contact between customers and internal departments
- Use and maintain CRM systems and sales records
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets and KPIs
- Support wider business development activities where required
- Represent Velo Recycling professionally at all times
- Previous field sales or business development experience preferred.
- Experience working within a target\-driven environment
- Strong communication and relationship\-building skills
- Confident and comfortable with cold calling and face\-to\-face prospecting
- Ability to handle rejection and remain motivated
- Self\-motivated with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience selling contracted services
- Knowledge of trade waste, skip, RoRo or other waste services
- Experience using CRM systems.
- £27,000 basic salary
