About us
Pagaro is a partner distributor for Dojo in Spain. Dojo is one of the fastest growing card payment platforms in Europe: terminals that run on 5G as well as wifi, a point of sale built into the terminal itself, integration with most of the POS systems on the market, and immediate device replacement when something goes wrong. We are a small team building our Spanish sales operation from the ground up. You join at the start of it, not halfway through.

What you will do

• Phone and field prospecting of restaurants, bars, cafés and hotels across your Madrid territory.


• Fee audits: read the merchant's current card processing statement and show them, in numbers, what they are actually paying and why.


• Present and sell the payment solution, close the agreement, and submit a complete merchant application.


• Keep the CRM accurate, and attend the daily team call and the weekly pipeline review.

A typical day
Mornings on the phone and preparing visits. Afternoons in the field, roughly 15:00 to 18:00, clustering visits by district. Priority areas: Centro, Salamanca, Chamberí, Chamartín, Malasaña, La Latina and Chueca, plus Pozuelo, Las Rozas and Alcobendas.

What we offer

• Guaranteed base of €1,800 gross per month, paid in 12 instalments, being €21,600 gross a year. Not conditional on performance and never offset against your commission.


• Uncapped commission. The first 5 valid activations each calendar month do not commission. After that, activations accumulate across the calendar quarter: 1 to 15 at €175 each, 16 to 30 at €255, and 31 and above at €310, with no upper limit. Each rate applies only to activations in its own band.


• First month variable guaranteed at €1,000 gross while you train and build your pipeline. Earn more and you are paid the higher figure.


• Commission once earned is never clawed back or offset, under any circumstances.


• €0\.26 per kilometre, plus tolls and parking. Subsistence of €26\.67 a day, or €53\.34 with an overnight stay.


• Mobile phone, laptop or tablet, demonstration terminals and business cards.


• 30 calendar days of annual leave.


• Full product and sales training, delivered by the number one partner in Dojo's UK distribution network.

Requirements

• Professional level Spanish and English. The team works in English, the customers in Spanish.


• Valid category B driving licence and your own vehicle, insured for business use. We reimburse the additional cost of that cover.


• Living in or around Madrid.


• Available for afternoon merchant visits.


• Organised, able to work from home without constant supervision, and disciplined about logging your activity.


• No academic qualification is required.

Nice to have

• Field sales, cold calling or consultative SME sales experience.


• A background in hospitality, or in payments, POS, telecoms or hospitality supply.


• Knowledge of the Madrid hospitality scene.
