About Etech Mobility

Etech Mobility is a UK mobility brand selling electric wheelchairs, scooters, manual chairs and accessories. We sell primarily online, supported by showrooms at our Birmingham HQ and Glasgow, with Manchester and London opening this year. Our mission: making mobility affordable and empowering for everyone.

Birmingham is our HQ: our largest showroom and strongest revenue per site. We're building the Birmingham team to deliver continued growth while Manchester and London come online this year.

The role

You'll be a Sales Consultant on Birmingham's 2–3 person showroom team. Day\-to\-day:

  • Run booked appointments (typical 45–60 minutes per customer)

  • Demo our electric wheelchair range (ultra\-lightweight through heavy\-duty), mobility scooters, manual wheelchairs, and rollators

  • Handle walk\-in customers

  • Process sales at Shopify POS

  • Follow up with prospects who haven't yet bought

  • Manage showroom presentation between customers

  • When you're not in an appointment, your time goes to follow\-up calls, outbound to qualified leads, and prospecting
You report to the Lead Consultant day\-to\-day, with the POS Manager overseeing the team.

Working pattern

The showroom is open 6 days/week (Mon–Sat, 9:00am–5:30pm). You work 5 days/week, 40 hours total, with one rotating weekday off. You'll work every Saturday, our busiest day. Predictable schedule: no rotating weekends, no Sundays.

What we're looking for

  • Sales experience in any sector: car sales, furniture, electronics, retail, B2B. What matters is demonstrated closing ability and a commission\-friendly mindset.

  • Consultative seller: patient, empathetic, listens before pitching. Our customers have mobility limitations; the hard sell doesn't land and we don't want it.

  • Full UK driving licence (occasional home demos and pop\-up events).

  • Comfortable with digital tools (Shopify POS, appointment tracking, basic admin).

  • Mobility/medical sector experience is a plus but not required. We train product knowledge.
Compensation
  • £27,000 base salary (£12\.98/hr × 40hr × 52wk)

  • Showroom performance bonus, paid monthly based on team revenue

  • Realistic OTE at current Birmingham performance: \~£32,500

  • Maximum OTE: £50,000 (above this, the next career step is Lead Consultant)

  • 28 days paid annual leave, pension auto\-enrolment

  • Paid monthly via PAYE; showroom bonus credited the month after performance
Career progression

This isn't a dead\-end role. Strong Consultants are first in line for Lead promotions when Manchester and London open. Path: Consultant → Lead Consultant → Multi\-Site Manager.

Probation

Standard 3\-month probation. KPI targets:

  • Product training complete by end of month 1 (we provide structured training in your first 4 weeks)

  • Conversion rate: 60%\+ rolling 3\-month average by end of month 3 (you're exempt from the conversion floor in your first 90 days)

  • Return rate (your closed sales): under 10%

  • Demonstrable engagement in sales follow\-up activities during downtime
