The Role
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will provide essential administrative and customer service support to the Sales team, helping to ensure orders, quotations and customer enquiries are processed accurately and efficiently.
Working as part of the Sales team, you will liaise with customers, sales executives and internal departments to support the smooth running of the sales process. The role will involve entering and managing customer orders and quotations, coordinating internal stock transfers and ensuring accurate information is communicated across the business.
The successful candidate will be organised, detail\-focused and confident when communicating with customers and colleagues. This is an important role within the Sales team, helping to maintain high levels of customer service and supporting the wider business in achieving its objectives.

Supplying a large range of customers across a varied supply chain, we deliver to the whole of the UK and Ireland from our Shrewsbury Headquarters, with additional locations in Yate near Bristol and Lurgan in Northern Ireland.
Job Skills \& Qualifications
- Previous experience in an administrative, sales support or customer service role is useful but not necessary.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and Windows\-based applications.
- Accurate data entry and strong administrative skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong team\-working skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues across different departments.
- Professional and confident telephone manner.
- Commercial awareness and a willingness to learn about the metals industry.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
- Proactive approach to problem\-solving.
- A flexible and positive attitude towards supporting the wider Sales team.
- Provide day\-to\-day administrative support to the Sales team.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently onto the company's systems.
- Prepare and process customer quotations as required by the Sales team.
- Liaise with customers regarding orders, quotations, delivery requirements and general enquiries.
- Provide timely updates to customers and Sales Executives where required.
- Assist Sales Executives with the administration and management of customer accounts.
- Coordinate internal stock transfers between SSA locations.
- Liaise with internal departments, including Purchasing, Transport, Warehouse and Operations, to ensure customer requirements are communicated effectively.
- Assist with resolving order queries, discrepancies and other customer issues.
- Ensure customer and order information is accurate and kept up to date.
- Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of SSA's products, services and processes.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Contribute to a strong team ethic by promoting teamwork and effective communication.
- Support company growth objectives through the delivery of excellent customer service and efficient administration.
- Support innovation and continuous improvement within the Sales administration process.
- Maintain a flexible working attitude to achieve team and company objectives.
- 40 Hours per week, Permanent Position.
- Working Hours: 8\.30 am–5\.30 pm Monday to Friday, with a 1\-hour unpaid break.
