Sales Account Coordinator

We are looking for an Account Coordinator to join our team, based at our head office in Dyrham (SN14 8HZ).

For over 30 years, The Fine Cheese Co. has been a trusted name in artisan cheese and fine food, proudly serving as a wholesaler, retailer, and exporter of exceptional products. We partner closely with cheesemakers and artisan food producers to offer an extensive range of traditionally made cheese, charcuterie, crackers, condiments, chocolates, and fine foods sourced from across the UK and around the world.
Our dedicated Account Managers promote these exceptional artisan products to our retail customers and partners, predominantly on the road. To support their efforts, we are looking for a Account Coordinator to maintain and enhance our outstanding customer relationships and assist in being proactive in the selling of our products and utilising our upcoming B2B platform to further benefit our customers.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly and dynamic team, where a positive attitude and a strong work ethic are essential. A passion for food, particularly cheese, is highly valued.
Role Responsibilities:
· Support the Key Account Manager in ensuring customer expectations are met across all touchpoints.
· Provide exceptional service and support to Key Account customers via phone email and our B2B platform.
· Process and manage customer orders, including pre\-orders, backorders, and payments.
· Maintain accurate customer account records and price lists in our systems.
· Coordinate order fulfilment with warehouse, transport, and buying teams to ensure timely deliveries.
· Handle customer enquiries related to stock availability, deliveries, damaged goods, and returns.
· Prepare and manage necessary documentation such as invoices, labels, packing lists, and booking confirmations.
· Liaise with couriers and arrange transport for deliveries and collections when required.
· Assist with credit notes, invoice queries, and provide administrative support to the finance and technical teams.
· Manage sample dispatches, update customer communications, and maintain complaint logs.
· Support other administrative and operational duties as required in line with the needs of the department and business.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong communicator with an engaging and professional phone manner.
- Organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple customer accounts.
- Experience in customer service, telesales, or account support (preferably in the food, retail, or wholesale sector).
- Comfortable using CRM systems, email, and order processing platforms.
- Confident in discussing product features and benefits.
- A team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written, is essential.
