We are recruiting for a Customer Services Sales Assistant to join us at Siemens Mobility \- Customer Services, Rail Infrastructure business within our Materials Team. Working from our Chippenham location and reporting directly to the Materials Manager, you will liaise with all sectors within the Customer Services Business Unit and the broader company to guarantee the timely completion of all material management and administrative tasks. You will oversee all correspondence related to the customer services inbox, quotation, order processing, and logistics management.

- Managing customer requests for quotations, purchase orders, and enquiries, ensuring a responsive and high quality service experience.
- Coordinating the end\-to\-end sales order process in SAP, including order entry, purchase order creation, and dispatch through internal and external supply chains.
- Maintaining effective daily communication with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support on\-time delivery and order fulfilment.
- Monitoring material schedules and supplier performance to ensure the timely availability of materials and minimise supply chain delays.
- Supporting reporting, order amendments, project set\-up, billing activities, invoice resolution, and month and year\-end financial objectives.
- Providing administrative and operational support across the Materials, Logistics, and Customer Service teams to ensure smooth day\-to\-day operations.
- Previous experience in a customer\-facing or operational environment.
- Strong IT proficiency, including confident use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively prioritise workloads, manage multiple tasks, and meet challenging deadlines in a fast\-paced environment.
- Experience working within a materials management, supply chain, or similar complex operational environment would be advantageous.
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is preferred.
