Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team for 6 sessions per week. We are a well\-established GMS practice, consistently performing well in QOF.
Main Duties of the Role
The post\-holder will be responsible for the delivery of general medical services within primary care and will manage a clinical caseload covering a wide range of health needs, ensuring the highest standards of care at all times.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Undertake a full range of GP duties including face\-to\-face consultations, telephone consultations, and responding to online triage queries via Anima (total triage system)
- Carry out home visits and care home visits as required
- Review, action and sign repeat and acute prescriptions
- Review test results, correspondence and clinical paperwork in a timely manner
- E, ChoUse and maintain accurate clinical records using SystmOne, ICE systems
- Assess patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations
- Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness in line with current clinical guidelines and practice protocols
- Develop, review and implement individual care plans
- Provide health education and counselling where appropriate
- Refer patients to secondary care and other services using appropriate referral pathways
- Admit or discharge patients from caseloads as clinically indicated
- Maintain clear, accurate and contemporaneous consultation notes
- Collect data for audit, quality improvement and QOF purposes
- Prescribe in accordance with the practice formulary, NICE guidance and local policies, using generic prescribing where clinically appropriate
- Undertake all normal duties associated with a GP working under a GMS contract, including some on\-call duties and visits
- MRCGP or equivalent Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a licence to practise in the UK
