Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Assistant to provide high\-quality support to individuals in their own homes. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their well\-being. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work independently within a community setting. All positions are paid, including internships, and offer an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility and daily living activities in accordance with care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Help with domestic chores including light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to supervisors
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for clients and yourself
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to deliver personalised care
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive clients safely to appointments or activities
- Experience working in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately
- Good IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively
- Fluency in English, with excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently within a community setting
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health \& Social Care
- Moving \& Handling Training
- Medication Administration Training
- First Aid / Basic Life Support
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
