Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Assistant to provide high\-quality support to individuals in their own homes. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their well\-being. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work independently within a community setting. All positions are paid, including internships, and offer an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

  • Support clients with mobility and daily living activities in accordance with care plans

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients

  • Help with domestic chores including light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation

  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to supervisors

  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed

  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for clients and yourself

  • Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to deliver personalised care
Requirements
  • Valid driving licence and ability to drive clients safely to appointments or activities

  • Experience working in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided

  • Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately

  • Good IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively

  • Fluency in English, with excellent verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients

  • Reliable, organised, and able to work independently within a community setting

  • Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
Qualifications (Desirable but not essential)
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health \& Social Care

  • Moving \& Handling Training

  • Medication Administration Training

  • First Aid / Basic Life Support

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
