The Lighting Studio, located next to Gateway Retail Park in Banbury, is part of där lighting, one of the UK's leading designers and distributors of decorative lighting. We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and customer\-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our welcoming showroom team.

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with customers to help them find the perfect lighting and home accessories, offering expert advice and creating an outstanding shopping experience from first enquiry through to after\-sales support.

What You'll Be Doing

As a key member of our retail team, you will:

• Welcome and assist customers, providing a first\-class shopping experience


• Build strong relationships with customers and understand their individual style, needs and home projects


• Inspire customers with lighting and interior design ideas and help them select the perfect products


• Process sales, orders, payments and refunds accurately


• Follow up customer orders and provide excellent after\-sales service


• Manage stock deliveries, goods in, product returns and stock control


• Merchandise displays and maintain high showroom standards


• Assist with display assembly, showroom maintenance and light DIY tasks


• Support warehouse operations, stock movement and recycling processes


• Work collaboratively as part of a small, friendly and supportive team

We're seeking someone who is:

• Passionate about customer service and delivering outstanding results


• Friendly, approachable and confident speaking with customers


• Interested in interiors, home décor and design


• Proactive, hands\-on and willing to get involved in all aspects of store operations


• Organised with excellent attention to detail


• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and retail systems


• A strong team player with excellent communication skills

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a customer\-facing sales role


• Minimum 2 years' customer service experience


• GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English


• Availability to work Saturdays on a rotational basis and occasional Bank Holidays

• Experience selling interiors, furniture, kitchens, flooring, lighting or other home improvement products


• An interest in interior design and home styling

We're flexible and committed to supporting a positive work\-life balance.

Ideally, we're looking for someone who can work a minimum of 22\.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, with flexibility to cover holidays and busy trading periods when required.

This role involves regular manual handling, including lifting and moving boxed stock and furniture, as well as the use of ladders.
