Restoration Support Technician - Property Restoration
SUPPORT TECHNICIAN – PROPERTY RESTORATION
BELFOR provides a comprehensive service for a variety of insurance companies by reinstating their customers’ homes after flood or fire damage. As a Support Technician, you’ll support Restoration Technicians on site, handle customer contents with care, maintain high safety and quality standards, and deliver a professional, positive experience for every customer. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role suited to someone reliable, practical, and customer‑focused.
ROLE PURPOSE
To support restoration operations by ensuring customers’ homes, businesses, and belongings are restored to the highest possible standard. The Support Technician contributes directly to customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and the delivery of safe, compliant restoration work.
KEY OUTCOMES \& RESPONSIBILITIES
High‑Quality Restoration Delivery
- Assist Restoration Technicians to complete restoration work to professional and auditable standards.
- Ensure tasks meet internal quality checks with minimal rework.
- Provide clear, professional, and supportive communication on every job.
- Contribute to high customer satisfaction and service consistency.
- Attend scheduled work, site operations, and emergency call‑outs promptly.
- Prepare and maintain equipment, PPE, and materials for all tasks.
- Complete job documentation accurately and on time.
- Handle, decontaminate, intake, dispatch, and return customer contents in line with BELFOR BKQ P023\.
- Ensure safe, accurate labelling, storage, and tracking of all items.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams, customers, and third‑party partners.
- Support teamwork across onsite and offsite operations.
- Clean and maintain vehicles, tools, and issued assets to company standards.
- Present professionally and adhere to PPE/uniform requirements.
- Work in full alignment with BELFOR’s health, safety, environmental, quality, and training procedures.
- Maintain zero avoidable safety breaches.
- Work varied hours and travel as required to meet operational demand.
- Support the team during peak periods, urgent call‑outs, and changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality workmanship.
- Excellent customer service skills with a supportive and professional approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast‑paced environments.
- Good communication skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Practical, hands‑on mindset with the ability to handle physical tasks safely.
- Ability to organise tasks, manage time well, and meet deadlines.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to varying workloads and schedules.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Experience in restoration, construction, facilities, cleaning, or similar hands‑on work (desirable).
- Health \& Safety, COSHH, or industry‑related training (advantageous but not essential).
- Willingness to complete all mandatory BELFOR training programmes.
