National Legal Service is the biggest legal aid provider in the UK, our experienced solicitors are specialists in Family and Children law, and we have offices all over the UK with our head office based in Central London.
National Centre for Domestic Violence is a community interest company helping victims of Domestic abuse and violence obtain injunctions against their perpetrator, NCDV offices are based in Guildford.
We are now looking for an experience HR Generalist to join us working across both organisations. The role will include:
As the HR Generalist, you are responsible for all administration relating to HR and employment activities. You will report to and assist the HR Manager who is accountable for HR across the Group.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Employee Relations – support with probation process, Flexible Working Requests, parental leave, performance management and capability matters and any other ER related cases and be confident to own the process from start to finish.
- Employment records and maintaining the HR portal
- Payroll – collating data for payroll each month and supporting Finance team in inputting data onto the HR Portal and updating Finance spreadsheet
- Provide an effective HR service to all staff \- our employees are our greatest asset and the service you provide must be first class
- Recruitment – supporting the Recruitment Business Partner and issuing Contracts and other paperwork, attending interviews to take notes should the Recruiter require.
- Onboarding – administration of all the onboarding documents
- Organise training sessions and maintain the relevant records
- Provide planning and organisational support for work and social events
- Assist with the review, design and implementation of HR processes
- Any other ad hoc HR duties as required
- Strong ER experience
- Good knowledge of payroll
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team and on your own initiative
- Ideally you will hold a CIPD Level 5 qualification
