Restaurant Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced and dynamic Supervisors over all of our Cafebar locations in West Lothian

The ideal candidates will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage teams effectively. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of customer service. The Supervisor will play a key role in fostering a positive work environment and driving team performance to meet organisational goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate team members to achieve individual and collective targets.


• Organise and delegate daily tasks, ensuring smooth workflow across departments.


• Monitor staff performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching as necessary.


• Oversee merchandising strategies to optimise product presentation and sales opportunities.


• Manage administrative duties including scheduling, reporting, and maintaining accurate records.


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.


• Foster effective communication within the team and with other departments.


• Handle customer enquiries professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.


• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff members.


• Implement organisational policies and procedures consistently.

Requirements

• Proven experience in management or supervisory roles, preferably within retail or sales environments.


• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise diverse teams effectively.


• Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.


• Effective communication skills in both verbal and written formats; multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous.


• Experience in merchandising, sales management, or retail management is desirable.


• Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently in a fast\-paced setting.


• Administrative experience including report writing and record keeping.


• Professional demeanour with good phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.


• Organisational skills to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
