Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations within our independent destination restaurant \& bar in Chobham near Woking.

We are looking for a charming personality who has a real passion for food with excellent wine knowledge . Awarded for the past 6 years the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence and Opentable Diners Choice Award, we work hard to achieve the highest standards of service. Our menu emphasis is on great quality and best of British produce menu locally sourced including produce from our own garden. So we aim to serve high quality food along with creative cocktails, fine wines, all spirits and selected beers to work in combination with our menu. We aim to serve 400 covers per week with the focus on quality, high attention to detail and a fine level of stylish service with personality.

This is a hands on role for someone with restaurant service experience to grow and develop as our business develops. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for maintaining smooth operations, supervising staff, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant service, including food preparation, serving, and customer service.

  • Supervise and manage restaurant staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and timely service.

  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste.

  • Handle guest enquiries and feedback professionally to enhance the guest experience.

  • Implement operational policies and procedures to optimise efficiency and profitability.

  • Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality experiences and maintaining team morale.

  • Organise staff training programmes focused on culinary skills, food safety, and guest service excellence.
Qualifications
  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.

  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.

  • Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.

  • Experience in food safety standards and food production processes.

  • Background in restaurant management or similar roles is highly desirable.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.

  • Additional skills such as extensive wine knowledge or culinary expertise are considered beneficial but not essential.

Pay: £40,000\.00\-£49,000\.00 per year
