Join our team as a Dessert Shop Manager and play a key role in delivering an outstanding experience for every customer. You’ll oversee the day\-to\-day running of the shop, lead and support the team, maintain high standards of customer service, and ensure our desserts and drinks are prepared and presented consistently.

We’re looking for someone who is confident leading a team, enjoys working with customers, and can keep operations running smoothly during busy periods. This is a hands\-on management position in a fast\-paced dessert and hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operation of the dessert shop, ensuring customers receive friendly, efficient and professional service

  • Lead, supervise and motivate team members to maintain excellent customer service and performance standards

  • Ensure desserts, drinks and other menu items are prepared and presented consistently to our quality standards

  • Manage staff rotas, shift allocation, training and day\-to\-day team performance

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety throughout the shop

  • Monitor stock levels for ingredients, packaging, beverages and other supplies, helping to minimise waste and control costs

  • Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed correctly

  • Handle customer enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally and work to resolve issues promptly

  • Support the team during busy service periods and ensure orders are prepared accurately and efficiently

  • Monitor the customer experience and help maintain a welcoming, clean and enjoyable atmosphere

  • Ensure company procedures, health and safety requirements and food hygiene standards are followed

  • Assist with cash handling, till operations and other daily management responsibilities as required
Skills \& Experience
  • Previous supervisory or management experience within a dessert shop, café, restaurant, takeaway or similar hospitality environment

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive experience for every guest

  • Experience leading, motivating and supporting a team

  • Good understanding of food hygiene, food safety and cleanliness standards

  • Ability to remain organised and calm while managing a busy service

  • Strong communication and problem\-solving skills

  • Confidence handling customer complaints and resolving issues professionally

  • Good attention to detail, particularly regarding product quality, presentation and cleanliness

  • Experience with stock management, staff rotas and day\-to\-day shop operations

  • Barista, dessert preparation or similar food and beverage experience is desirable but not essential

Pay: £30,000\.00\-£35,000\.00 per year
