We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist to join our Sussex CAMHS Services as the Professional Lead. This is an influential role that will be responsible for providing clinical and professional leadership within West Sussex CAMHS with some time dedicated to supporting with leadership more widely across Sussex CAMHS.

The Trust operates a model of care delivery which is led through joint operational and clinical decision making. This post will join other professional leads in ensuring quality of service delivery and support and growth of our workforce.

Having the ability to influence the quality of care and wellbeing through a strong professional lead network.

Raising the profile of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists and supporting their growth and development.

Wanting to ensure that the child’s voice is at the centre of care delivery decisions.

The role is split into 50% clinical direct and indirect work and 50% leadership work.

Responsibility for Clinical Supervision of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists and Professional Leadership of Psychological Professionals; supported Senior Psychological Profession colleagues across the service.

Overseeing the Psychological Professions workplan including increasing access to psychological therapies, enhancing outcomes for Young People and their Families, supporting inclusive and diverse practice, and staff well\-being.

Promote clinical innovation and continual development of Psychotherapy practice, based upon evidence and relevant research.

Ensure excellence in clinical practice and service delivery is based on NICE guidelines, documents and guidance.

Ensure Psychological Professionals have mechanisms that enable compliance with Professional standards, ethics and regulation requirements.

Support/advise managers in developing supervision and act as a point of contact and resource on all professionally related issues.

Provide and deliver specialist advice and interventions for young people with complex needs, and their families, working closely with Managers to deliver a person\-centred service, providing expert advice to patients, carers and staff.

This role includes Co\-Chairing the Trust's Psychodynamic Network alongside an Adult Psychotherapist.

You will need a recognised Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy registration and ideally a supervisory qualification, some leadership experience and experience of clinical practice in a CAMHS setting.

This is a great opportunity to join our friendly and dedicated North West Sussex Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Team.
