We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Research Assistant in Societal Resilience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the portfolio of work delivered by the National Consortium for Societal Resilience \[UK\+], within a dynamic and inclusive environment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Running, participating in and developing external networks with government and academics

  • Managing people, supporting colleagues and collaborators.

  • Act as a responsible team member and develop productive working relationships with other members of staff

  • Managing and conducting administrative tasks associated with the research programmes
About You

We encourage applications from individuals with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. You should demonstrate:

Essential Criteria:

  • Possess an advanced understanding of the role of business in whole of society resilience, local government, strategy.

  • A record of producing output for high\-quality journal publications, specifically on the topic of the role of business in a whole of society approach to resilience and a “pipe\-line” of articles that target top management journals (e.g. Academy of Management Perspectives, British Journal of Management).

  • Have evidence of working with local resilience partnerships (and government, NGOs, organisations, and learned societies) to create new knowledge and transfer that across partners.

  • Have the aptitude to engage in continuous professional development.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Membership or collaborative experience with appropriate resilience forums.

  • Active participation in externally funded research.

  • The ability to write and communicate effectively with policymaker and practitioner audiences.
