<p><strong>We are currently accepting applications for Research Analysts to join our Sydney office Graduate Program, with start dates available immediately or in January 2027.</strong></p>
<p>Our <strong>Research Analysts (RAs)</strong> are involved in diverse, challenging assignments within a stimulating, collegial work environment. You’ll work side by side with internationally recognised experts in financial economics, managerial accounting, corporate finance, energy, competition, and regulatory economics. You’ll have the opportunity to support our Principals and Academic Advisors as they serve as expert witnesses before courts and arbitration panels on behalf of some of the world’s largest and most successful law firms and corporations, in addition to numerous public and government agencies across the globe.</p>
<p>As an RA, you’ll participate in project teams with senior consulting staff. The RA role includes analysis, modelling, and research functions on client projects. Major focus areas for new RAs can be financial and economic modelling, industry analyses, and literature review. </p>
<p>A typical day for an RA includes:</p>
<ul>
<li>Combining economic theory and industry knowledge to solve real problems</li>
<li>Using statistical analyses to extract information from messy data</li>
<li>Constructing models from a blend of theoretical concepts to answer complex questions</li>
<li>Reviewing literature and industry trends to understand the debate around key developments</li>
</ul>
<p>The<strong> </strong>ideal Research Analyst has an Honours degree or three-year Bachelor’s degree with an excellent academic record (Distinction on average) in economics, finance, or other quantitative subjects. They work seamlessly in teams, have exceptional analytical skills (preferably data analysis experience using software such as R or Stata), a passion for creative problem-solving, and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively. Most importantly, Brattle RAs are looking to continuously learn and take ownership of their work.</p>
