Key Responsibilities
Sales \& Business Development
- Take ownership of monthly and annual sales targets for rental revenue and utilisation
- Proactively generate new business through outbound calls, local networking, and client visits
- Develop and grow relationships with corporate clients and local businesses
- Identify upselling and cross\-selling opportunities across the fleet and services
- Work closely with the General Manager to implement strategies that increase revenue and market share
- Oversee daily operations of the rental branch, including vehicle logistics, planning, returns, and damage control
- Ensure all rental processes are completed efficiently and accurately
- Maintain accurate records of fleet inventory, rental agreements, and vehicle movements
- Optimise fleet utilisation to maximise availability and profitability
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal requirements
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and disputes professionally and efficiently
- Deliver a high standard of service to drive repeat business and long\-term relationships
- Deliver against agreed revenue, utilisation, and cost targets
- Monitor performance metrics and report on sales and operational KPIs
- Maintain strong cost control and financial awareness across the branch
- Strong sales mindset with a proven ability to meet or exceed targets
- Excellent communication and relationship\-building skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Confident in telephone sales, in person meeting and customer service
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Commercially aware with solid financial understanding
- Experience in vehicle rental, contract hire, or LCV sector (preferred)
- Proven track record in sales, business development, or account management
- Experience in logistics or fleet operations
- Vehicle refurbishment knowledge is advantageous
- Comfortable working in a fast\-paced, target\-driven environment
- Driven, results\-oriented, and commercially focused
- Professional, reliable, and highly organised
- Strong team player with leadership capability
- Able to balance operational responsibilities with sales priorities
- Salary negotiable based on experience
- Performance\-related incentives/bonus linked to sales targets
