Removals Operations manager
About Bristol Van Removals (BVR) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v\=ydEoVvP45pE
Bristol Van Removals is one of the South West's leading removals, storage, and logistics companies.
We are a systems\-driven business focused on elite customer experience, operational excellence, leadership development, and long\-term growth.
We are not a traditional removals company.
We operate with high standards, strong accountability, clear systems, and a culture built around ownership, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
We are looking for an Operations Manager to help lead and strengthen the operational side of the business as we continue to grow.
The Reality of the Role
This is a hands\-on operational leadership role.
This is not a role for someone who wants to manage purely from an office.
Our Operations Manager must be capable of leading teams, solving operational problems, supporting removals crews when required, and earning the respect of the people they lead.
You will be expected to spend time both in the office and out in the operation.
You may be:
- Running morning operations
- Managing fleet readiness and equipment
- Conducting meetings, coaching sessions, and disciplinary processes
- Supporting Team Leaders
- Resolving customer escalations
- Responding to operational emergencies and Code Reds
- Visiting jobs where additional leadership or technical support is required
- Assisting with complex removals challenges
- Driving company vehicles where required
- Improving systems, processes, standards, and performance
Important
Candidates without removals experience must be prepared to spend an initial period learning the operation directly alongside our removals teams.
We believe strong leadership requires genuine operational understanding and credibility.
The successful candidate must be willing to learn how BVR operates in the real world, not simply manage from a distance.
