Job Title: Double Glazing Window Remedial Engineer
Location: East Kilbride, Scotland (with travel to client sites as required)
Job Summary:
The Double Glazing Window Remedial Engineer is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing faults in double glazing windows to ensure optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. The role involves working with various window materials and components, providing high\-quality remedial services, and maintaining excellent communication with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
\- Inspect double glazing windows to identify issues such as seal failure, condensation, fogging, hardware malfunctions, and structural damage.
\- Carry out remedial repairs including replacing seals, glass panes, and window hardware to restore window functionality and appearance.
\- Perform routine maintenance to prolong the lifespan of double glazing units and prevent future faults.
\- Work with different frame materials including uPVC, aluminium, and timber.
\- Use specialist tools and equipment safely and efficiently in line with company and industry standards.
\- Provide clear explanations to customers regarding the work performed and offer advice on window care and maintenance.
\- Maintain accurate records of all inspections, repairs, and customer interactions.
\- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
\- Travel to client locations within the service area as required, managing time effectively to meet job schedules.
Requirements:
\- Proven experience in double glazing window installation, repair, or maintenance.
\- Strong problem\-solving skills and attention to detail.
\- Good communication and customer service skills.
\- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
\- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to different job sites.
\- Knowledge of health and safety practices relevant to glazing work.
Desirable:
\- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in glazing or building maintenance.
\- Experience with different window materials and modern glazing technologies.
Pay: £24,420\.00\-£32,000\.00 per year
