Key Responsibilities \& Requirements:
- Facilitate and implement a person\-centred approach for individuals we support across our services, tailored to their unique wishes and goals.
- Promote and protect the rights of individuals, respecting their dignity, autonomy, and right to make choices, while ensuring their privacy.
- Actively seek new interests and opportunities for individuals to develop meaningful roles within their service and in their communities.
- Ensure the overall well\-being of individuals in all areas of their lives, including health and personal care, with a focus on maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
- Utilise positive behaviour support strategies to address behaviours of concern, always prioritising the individual's well\-being, health \& safety.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate measures to ensure the safety and security of individuals we support.
- Employ alternative communication methods as needed to facilitate effective communication with individuals.
- Demonstrate excellent organisation and communication skills, along with proficiency in IT and report writing.
- Possess knowledge of HIQA regulations and standards.
- Possess a knowledge of New Directions
- Handle confidential information discreetly and responsibly, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- A minimum of QQI Level 5 in Health Care Support/Social Care. Currently undertaking BA/BA (HONS) in Applied Social Studies in Social Care (year 2\) . (A Diploma or Degree in Social Care or other relevant discipline advantageous).
- 6 months experience of working with people with an Intellectual Disability advantageous.
- Must hold a full clean driving license and willing to drive company vehicles.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, sleepovers/nights on a relief basis based on the needs of the service.
- Have the legal right to work in Ireland and currently hold valid work authorisation for Ireland
- Proficient in both oral and written English language

- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations pertaining to the care of individuals with disabilities.
