Are you an ambitious sales professional with over 3 year’s experience in the waste and recycling industry at a senior level? Do you thrive on winning new business, building long\-term customer relationships, and helping businesses improve their environmental performance?

Based in Widnes we are looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our expanding commercial team covering Liverpool and the surrounding areas.

We need someone that can come in and make a difference, as we change course and restructure our customer approach to sales. We have some exciting times ahead. Could you be part of it? Do you need a challenge?

The Role

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new commercial business opportunities while promoting a comprehensive range of waste and recycling services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Generating and converting new business opportunities.

  • Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to contract completion.

  • Conducting customer site surveys and presenting tailored waste management solutions.

  • Building strong relationships with SMEs, large commercial organisations, and industrial customers.

  • Preparing quotations and negotiating profitable contracts.

  • Working towards monthly and annual sales targets.

  • Keeping accurate records using the company's CRM system.

  • Representing the business professionally within the local market.
What We Require

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Business Development within the waste and recycling industry is a must.

  • Proven track record of consistently achieving sales targets. Excellent negotiation and presentation skills. Strong commercial awareness.

  • Self\-motivated with a proactive approach to winning business.

  • Full UK Driving Licence.

  • Knowledge of waste legislation and recycling services.

  • Existing network of commercial contacts.

  • Experience using CRM systems.
