Rehabilitation Assistant / Support Worker

If so, we are looking to grow Team Steps, where you will be caring for clients in their own homes and developing your skills as a rehabilitation support worker through our client specific training programmes \- both online and in a bespoke classroom\-based setting. When working independently with one of our clients, you will never be without assistance from us \- thanks to our office team, who run a 24/7 on\-call service.

Our client is a young woman who has an acquired brain injury following a car accident four years ago, this role is more centred around managing her day\-to\-day activities, meal preparation, and wellness activities in the community such as lunches out and going to the spa.

Another client of ours is an older gentleman with an acquired brain injury, who enjoys going out every day, whether that's volunteering or socialising with different focus groups. Alongside this, he has a passion for art, animals and history. Someone with an active mindset and drive to get out into the community would be preffered.

Acquired brain injury experience is preferable to identify the client's fatigue, lack of initiation, general struggles and to provide emotional support.

This role is based in Bath and/or Easter Compton, we have a variety of hours available on a part\-time and full\-time basis.

We have smaller shifts available on this package, from Monday\-Thursday with the client in Bath, with the client in Easter Compton, we have longer days available from Monday\-Saturday.

Competitive rates of pay £14\.20\-£19\.00 per hour, plus extra for Bank Holidays.

*Responsibilities will include*

· Arranging and supporting to attend appointments

· General upkeep of the property

· Administering medication

· Accessing the community

. Assisting with the client's programme of rehabilitation

. Personal care where applicable

*Requirements for the position*

· Spinal Injury experience is preferred

· Six months health and social care experience is preferable; however, transferrable skills and personal experience will also be considered.
