Duties

  • Assisting veterinary surgeons during consultations, surgeries, and procedures with clinical support.

  • A mixture of first opinion and referral work (full training will be give on referral work if required.)

  • Monitoring anaesthetic and post\-operative recovery of animals, ensuring their comfort and safety.

  • Performing laboratory work including sample collection, analysis, and record keeping to aid diagnosis.

  • Providing pre\- and post\-operative care, including wound management and patient monitoring.

  • Educating pet owners on health care, medication administration, and preventive measures.

  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of clinical areas, equipment, and stock levels.
Experience
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and colleagues.

  • A compassionate approach towards animals and their owners, demonstrating professionalism at all times. This role is ideal for a motivated individual eager to contribute to animal health and welfare within a well\-respected practice that values continuous learning and professional growth.
The Role
  • Average 37\.5 hour work week consisting of 10am\-7pm and 8am\-4pm shifts

  • Lone working sleeping shift once per week, with no emergency work—responsible for monitoring inpatients only.

  • Paid day off before and after a night shift to allow for proper rest.

Pay: £27,000\.00\-£32,000\.00 per year
