Registered Nurse (Maternity Cover) - West Midlands
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to work on a fixed term contract basis with our multidisciplinary team at West Midlands Hospice. You will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team, providing holistic, person\-centred end\-of\-life care.
Your responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating high\-quality nursing care for people living with a terminal illness and those important to them. We are looking for compassionate professionals committed to providing comprehensive support to individuals and their loved ones during the most critical times of their lives.
You will research and network across the system to understand the wide range of services available to patients and those important to them and work with other providers, supporting the wider system to improve the experience of dying, death, and bereavement. The role involves direct patient care, ensuring dignity, respect, and compassion are at the heart of everything you do.
You will work within relevant legal, ethical, capability and clinical frameworks, the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code and in accordance with Marie Curie policy and procedure.
Contract: 9\-month fixed\-term contract
Hours: 30 Hours per week
Job Shifts: This role follows a rota pattern of two long day or night shifts (7:00 to 19:30 or 19:00 to 7:30\) and one short shift (7:00 to 15:00\), scheduled Monday to Sunday, including bank holidays.
Salary: Marie Curie Pay Scale Band 5 (aligned with AFC), from £32,073 to £39,043 per annum (prorated), plus applicable enhancements.
Location: Marie Curie West Midlands Hospice, Solihull
What we are looking for:
- Registered Nurse on NMC Register with a relevant qualification and experience.
- Proven expertise and experience in palliative and end\-of\-life care within social healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement care management plans tailored to address the complex needs of individuals.
- A holistic and person\-centred approach to nursing practice.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for delivering high\-quality care to those at the end of life.
