Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse Colposcopist to join our specialised healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide expert cervical screening and treatment services, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety. Duties
- Conduct colposcopy examinations with accuracy and professionalism, ensuring patient comfort throughout the procedure
- Administer medications safely, including local anaesthetics and other prescribed treatments
- Provide comprehensive patient care before, during, and after procedures, including education on procedures and post\-care instructions
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in accordance with clinical guidelines and data protection regulations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalised care plans for patients
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, infection control protocols, and clinical policies at all times
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in colposcopy techniques and women's health practices
- Registered Nurse qualification with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Current BSCCP registration/accreditation for Colposcopists
- Proven experience in patient care within a clinical setting, preferably in gynaecology or colposcopy services
- Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to women's reproductive health
- Competence in medication administration, including local anaesthetics and other relevant drugs
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to reassure patients and explain procedures clearly
- Organised with meticulous attention to detail for documentation and clinical procedures
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in healthcare
Pay: £350\.00 per day
