Job Title: Registered Nurse Band 5

Salary: TBC

Hours: Full Time/Part Time

Responsible to: Matron

Based: Michael Sobell Hospice, Northwood, HA6 2RN

Contract Type: Internal Rotation

Harlington Hospice is dedicated to providing compassionate end\-of\-life care to patients and their families. We believe in dignity, respect, and support for both patients and their loved ones during this critical time. Our multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals works collaboratively to ensure that each patient's unique needs are met with empathy and expertise.

As a Registered Nurse you will play a crucial role in providing comfort and support to patients and their families. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that prioritise symptom management, pain control, and emotional support.

Responsibilities:

· Assessing and monitoring patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual/cultural needs

· Administering medications and treatments as prescribed

· Ensure a high standard of written documentation is maintained.

· Providing skilled nursing care, including wound care and catheter management

· Collaborating with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care

· Advocating for patients' preferences and goals of care

· Liaise with voluntary and statutory agencies to ensure continuity of care from the hospital to the community, or continuing care setting.
