The role

As Registered Manager, you will hold Ofsted registration for your home and take full responsibility for its day to day operation. Working closely with the Responsible Individual and Director, you will lead the staff team, drive continuous improvement, and act as the home's Designated Safeguarding Lead, working towards a rating of “Good” or “Outstanding” at Ofsted inspection.

What you'll be doing

  • Holding Ofsted registration and ensuring full compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards

  • Acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead, embedding robust safeguarding practice across the home

  • Championing the voice, wishes and feelings of every child, and promoting trauma informed, rights based practice

  • Providing strong, visible leadership, recruiting and developing a skilled and motivated staff team

  • Building effective partnerships with placing authorities, social workers, schools and health services

  • Managing the home's budget, premises and resources to create a safe and homely environment
What we're looking for
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare

  • Strong working knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Ofsted SCCIF

  • Proven experience leading and developing a staff team

  • A genuine commitment to trauma informed, child centred practice

  • Resilience, calm under pressure, and excellent communication skills

  • A full, valid UK driving licence and willingness to participate in an on call rota

  • A satisfactory enhanced DBS check and references covering your full employment history (this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974\)
Why join us
  • The opportunity to lead a home and make a lasting difference to children's lives

  • A supportive Responsible Individual and Director invested in your success

  • Genuine investment in your professional development

  • A values led organisation that puts children's voices at the heart of everything it does
