Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and committed Registered Manager to lead an established children’s residential home in Cradley Heath.
The service is a 3\-bed home supporting up to 3 young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Offering a highly competitive salary of £65,000–£80,000 per annum, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager or a strong Deputy Manager with substantial management experience in children’s residential care who is ready to progress.
The successful candidate will provide strong leadership to the home, maintain high standards of safeguarding and care, support the development of the staff team and ensure positive outcomes for the young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day\-to\-day management and leadership of the children’s home.
- Maintain high standards in line with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards and Ofsted requirements.
- Lead, support and develop the residential care team, promoting a positive and professional culture.
- Ensure robust safeguarding practices are maintained throughout the service.
- Oversee care plans, risk assessments, behaviour support plans and individual support strategies.
- Ensure young people receive consistent, child\-centred care tailored to their individual needs.
- Monitor the quality of care and maintain effective auditing, record keeping and quality assurance processes.
- Support staff through supervision, development and performance management.
- Work effectively with social workers, local authorities, families and other professionals.
- Promote positive outcomes, stability, independence and wellbeing for the young people.
- Ensure the home remains well\-led, compliant and prepared for regulatory inspections.
We are looking for a candidate who has:
- Strong experience working within an Ofsted\-regulated children’s residential home.
- Previous management or senior leadership experience within children’s residential care.
- Experience supporting children and young people with EBD, challenging behaviours and/or complex needs.
- A good understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, safeguarding and Ofsted expectations.
- Strong leadership and staff\-management skills.
- Excellent communication, organisation and record\-keeping abilities.
- A child\-focused approach and a genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people.
Salary
£65,000–£80,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
All appointments will be subject to appropriate pre\-employment checks, including an Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
