Regional Sales Director - Companion Animals
Within the Greater South\-East region, the Regional Sales Director is responsible for driving the growth of veterinary product sales and executing the commercial strategy. Leading a team of Territory Managers, the role ensures the achievement of sales objectives and the profitable growth of the business within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Development \& Business Management
- Collect and analyze market data to identify trends, growth opportunities, and potential risks. Provide regular insights during business reviews.
- Develop and implement annual regional business plans to achieve sales targets, establishing priorities and strategic directions aligned with company objectives.
- Monitor and drive regional sales performance through relevant key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develop and maintain strong, long\-term relationships with key accounts and regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Engage strategic account networks in collaboration with Strategic Account Management (SAM) and Key Account Management (KAM) teams.
- Ensure representation and engagement at local and national events, meetings, and congresses across the region, including those dedicated to strategic accounts.
- Support the team in negotiations with major regional accounts while ensuring compliance with the company’s commercial policy.
- Partner with the National Strategic Account Manager on significant negotiations when required.
- Provide regular reporting to leadership on team performance, sales forecasts, market developments, competitive activity, and other relevant commercial insights.
- Ensure compliance with commercial processes, including sales forecasting, strategic priority tracking, budget management, and return on investment (ROI) analysis.
- Contribute to the development and facilitation of sales meetings.
- Foster clear, proactive communication between field\-based teams and headquarters functions.
- Ensure effective understanding and execution of the commercial strategy across the region.
- Adapt, clarify, and communicate key messages when necessary.
- closely with fellow Regional Sales Directors, Marketing teams, SAM/KAM teams, Veterinary Services, and Inside Sales to achieve shared business objectives.

With a higher education degree (Bachelor’s to Master’s level), you bring a proven track record in sales leadership, ideally gained within the animal health industry, particularly in the companion animal sector.
Your leadership capabilities, customer focus, track record in driving business performance, and experience managing high\-performing sales teams will be key to your success in this role. Technical Competencies
